Inspiring Skies: The Journey of Akshat Sethi Pilot

To the industry, flying has never just been about driving a plane — it is trust crossed with precision across responsibility. I am Captain Akshat Sethi, born on November 28th,1988 and native of Bhopal, this is my story from a curious boy to a Government pilot in Gujarat.

I was obsessed with flight from a young age. I wanted to know how airplanes stayed up, what clouds felt like from the inside and how pilots made split-second decisions. So I pursued an aviation degree and obtained a Commercial Pilot License and my journey as a pilot was guided by hard work, self discipline, and determination.

The start of my career with Air India taught me resilience. Those long flights, bad weather, can't-- your schedule being abused has shaken me up to be able to make decisions, remain calm. I noticed that challenges in the sky aren’t just tests of skill — they are trials of character.

These days, flying for the Government, I operate high-stakes official flights where there is no room for errors. Every takeoff is mission; every landing is precision. Trust is built through consistency, discipline and commitment.

Outside of aviation, my passions are music, travel and languages. Hindi and English come easily to me; I am trying to learn Gujarati and Punjabi so I can connect with more people. I think that human beings are ultimately more important than hardware.

So who look up to “Akshat Sethi Pilot” or “Captain Akshat Sethi”, I just wish his journey motivates young aspirants to chase their dreams with dedication and determination. It doesn’t need to be perfect — dedication, a humbleness of heart, and willingness to keep growing are what truly matter.
